![]() The Beholder is responsible for creating the "orb" that became Fushi, but is also capable of assimilating others' fye into orbs, allowing them to be reborn as other beings. While he enjoys the pleasures of being a human, such as eating nice food and taking baths, he remains near expressionless and as mechanically rational as ever, choosing not to interfere in Fushi's affairs. He appears to have a strong understanding of humans, often explaining them to Fushi in a purely descriptive manner devoid of judgment or morals, but as his name also alludes to, he spends most of the time observing Fushi and often withholds information from him, deeming the experience he gains more valuable than merely telling him everything.Įven after his reincarnation, his personality remains largely unchanged. Though he shows almost no emotion, he expresses visible satisfaction whenever Fushi shows remarkable progress. Personalityįitting of his inhuman nature, the Beholder is a strictly rational and analytical being who rarely takes direct action himself, but instead advocates for anything that promotes Fushi's growth. He usually wears plain clothes consisting of a pair of baggy shorts and an oversized t-shirt. He now has black hair that reaches the base of his neck and long bangs, along with thin eyebrows to accentuate his sharp, slanted eyes. His face was largely expressionless and rarely moved, even when talking, and he wore a long, hooded black cloak that covered most of his body.Īfter being reborn as Satoru, he takes on the appearance of a young boy and is notably a lot shorter than before. Originally, the Beholder appeared as a pale mannequin-like humanoid, with no visible hair or marks on his skin. A being of unknown origins, the Beholder is a mysterious, otherworldly entity who drops the Orb that would become Fushi onto the earth and tasks it to preserve and protect the world from the Nokkers.
